As members of the original Green
Industry, we've been helping to protect our natural
resources long before it was popular. Today,
Pamela's Garden exists to help landscape
professionals do everything better, faster, and cheaper
than ever before. The world has changed, and so has
the way we do business. So, now it’s time to create
the “ultimate online marketplace" for the landscape
industry.
What
is the “ultimate online marketplace”? It’s a place where all members of the landscape
professional community can meet with the click of a
button, and get the information they need, to get
the job done. No more spending hours searching for
the information you need. Instead, it’s available
quickly, in a form you can use, and edited to filter
out the useless links that are found using most web
browsers. It’s all about productivity, for yourself
and the people you work with. The "ultimate
online marketplace" information is FREE to
all users, and they don't even have to sign
in.
Why was it created? Simply
put, the Internet has become a twisted place for
professionals to find the product information they
need. No longer can you simply input something like
"Backflow Preventer", and get links to the
manufacturers who produce them. When a manufacturer
does make it's way to the top of the list, its
through paid per click advertising. It's not cheap.
The click price is determined by the browser, and
supply and demand. Everyone tries to "game" the
system, and the result is what makes it so difficult
to find what you need.
The Pamela’s Garden LANDSCAPE CATALOG
has been created to solve this problem. Why not
simply call it the "Landscape Network" or some other
shorter, high tech name? The answer is simple.
It's to remind you there is an experienced landscape
person behind Pamela's Garden. It's Pamela. It's not
a bunch of techies trying to put together something
for an investor.
The Pamela’s Garden LANDSCAPE CATALOG is a
work in progress. As long as there are new products
and ideas, it will never be completed. If you have a
suggestion or idea, please
send it along. As the
“ultimate online marketplace” grows, it will
include more and more features. Like
anything worthwhile, it takes time.
